About the Rolex Deepsea
Rolex introduced the Deepsea in 2008 as a deeper-rated version of the Sea-Dweller, with a 44mm case water resistant to 3,900 metres. It relies on Rolex's Ring Lock System, in which an internal ring supports the thick sapphire crystal and the titanium caseback, taking stress off the case itself. Calibre 3235 replaced calibre 3135 when reference 126660 arrived in 2018. In 2022 Rolex added the Deepsea Challenge, a 50mm model in RLX titanium rated to 11,000 metres and the first all-titanium Rolex. In 2024 the 44mm Deepsea was also released in 18k yellow gold as reference 136668LB, with a blue dial and blue bezel.
