Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe 5000 Reference 5000-1110-B52A
Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Stainless Steel / Grey / Black Canvas
The Bathyscaphe is the entry point to the Fifty Fathoms family, priced below the Fifty Fathoms Automatic when Blancpain introduced it in 2013. The design borrows from the Fifty Fathoms and Bathyscaphe divers Blancpain made in the 1950s.
It runs on the calibre 1315, which has a silicon balance spring and 120 hours of reserve, enough to leave the watch in a drawer for four full days and find it still running. Besides the steel and ceramic-coated titanium versions it launched in, there is one with a solid black ceramic case.
Until 2024 it came only on NATO or sailcloth straps. That year Blancpain added a ceramic bracelet, the first it had made in that material.
