About the Patek Philippe Aquanaut

Patek Philippe introduced the Aquanaut in 1997 as a statement of casual elegance. Its case and rounded octagonal bezel recall the Nautilus, while its most distinctive feature is an embossed checkerboard pattern that runs from the dial onto the strap. The strap is made of a composite material designed to resist wear, salt water and UV light. Cases combine polished and satin-brushed finishes. The Aquanaut Luce, with a diamond-set bezel, followed in 2004 and is offered in steel or gold with quartz or mechanical movements. The current range includes men's and women's models in several sizes, among them complications such as the Travel Time and the chronograph.
