About the Patek Philippe Nautilus

Patek Philippe launched the Nautilus in 1976 as a sports watch in steel. It was designed by Gérald Genta, and its case is inspired by a ship's porthole, with a rounded octagonal bezel and a horizontally embossed dial. The original reference was the steel 3700/1A, nicknamed the Jumbo. The collection now includes time-only models alongside complications such as Travel Time, chronograph, moon phase, annual and perpetual calendar, in steel, rose gold and white gold. Patek Philippe marks the Nautilus's 50th anniversary in 2026.
